Every year, our wonderful and talented parents at Solomon Schechter Day School volunteer thousands of hours of service to help our school run. Between preparing and serving hot lunches and holiday meals, packing holiday treats, teaching art awareness, organizing tzedakah projects, and thanking teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, our dedicated parents help make Solomon Schechter Day School a warm and welcoming second home for our children.

Our families celebrate many chagim (holidays) as a community with parties and activities organized by our Parent Organization (PO). We have fun decorating our school sukkahs, celebrating Hanukkah, enjoying Shabbat as a community, participating in Passover sedarim, and more.

Through our various activities, our PO raises essential funds for our school. By purchasing yearbooks, books at our book fairs, registering your children for after-school activities and participating in other PO fundraisers, you help to support our school and our students.

We look forward to another fun, busy, and successful school year!
Schechter has given me a love of learning, a love of Judaism, a love of Israel, and an incredible community that is always here for me. I am so happy to be able to pass this along to a new generation of students.
